Good Snake Food Pinky is a shelf-stable, vet-formulated whole prey food that replaces frozen pinky mice one for one. It stores in the pantry with no freezer and no thawing: add hot water, wait a minute, and serve warm. It is sized for hatchlings and small snakes such as hognose, garter, and young corn, king and milk snakes. Each bag holds 50 feedings.

Will your snake eat it?

There is good acceptance across colubrids — corn snakes, king snakes, milk snakes, hognose. Ball pythons respond well; some may need a short transition of 2–4 weeks. Larger pythons and boas vary — up to 6+ weeks in some cases. Our Transition Guide walks through tips and tricks for all species.

  • Yes. Formulated as a full replacement for feeder rodents — not a supplement. Complete proteins, fats, minerals, and vitamins modelled on wild prey. Freeze-drying locks in nutrition without preservatives.

  • Room temperature, cool dry place. Reseal tightly after each use. Avoid high humidity. No freezer required. Shelf-stable for travel.

  • Refrigerate for up to 1–2 days. Re-soak briefly in hot water and serve warm before re-offering. Discard if uneaten after the second attempt.

How to Serve

  • Step 1

    Soak in hot water. Place in a small cup, add hot water, soak 30–60 seconds until softened to a texture similar to thawed frozen prey.

  • Step 2

    Serve warm. Offer with feeding tongs or drop-feed. Serve while still warm. Many snakes respond better to prey at body temperature.

  • Step 3

    Done. No smell, no mess, no cleanup. Reseal the pouch and store at room temperature.
